Paiste 5 piece Last viewed: 43 minutes ago

I know this might sound strange but I have one of two Paiste drum kits made in the late 70's as prototypes. I had talked to some Paiste reps at NAMM in the late 80's after I acquired these drums. The guys told me that they made two kits, one was dispersed between some of the Paiste executives and the other was donated to a Los Angeles radio station to raffle off with autographs from the members of Ozzy Ozbourne. The autographs were on the snare head which was removed way before I got the kit. The kit did not include any hardware ala cymbals/stands etc.

I am thinking about selling this kit but have no idea what they would be worth. Any ideas to what I should ask for? I know the fact that there is absolutely no other kit to research what the value is makes it difficult at best.

I cordially thank you for any help.

I'm a guitar player. Drums are drums to me. I'll get some pics and sizes. I'm gonna guess 13, 15, 18, toms and 22 kick. Just guesses as I have not had the kit set up for 15 years.

Hi micter and welcome to vdf. i remember in the early 80's seeing a black paiste drum set at steve's music store in montreal. i dont remember much about the kit but fact it was made by paiste caught my attention. a few years back a had a talk with a local music store owner and he told me that the drums were entry level quality he is no drum pro so i wont hold him to that. your best bet is to post pics of your kit and the flood gate of information should open to you. some of the boys on here realy know there stuff.
