Has anyone had a degree of success painting over a wraped finish?..Im thinking i want to get an orphan drum "close" to the existing color.Its a beater kit,so no big deal .

One little bump and that paint will scratch off very easily. I'd just rock it as a mutt .D' Drummer
unless there is a good primer coat that anyone else has used? i've never had success painting that type of surface.
