Organizing Small Parts?

Loading...

Hey Guys,

What do you use to organize small parts? I'm talking things like felts, cymbal sleeves, snare wires or straps, drum keys, clutches, spare tension rods, etc. The stuff you want handy if needed. I'm not referring to organizing parts when restoring a kit.

I find I have just been putting things randomly in a couple of small boxes as I have changed things out and it has become a real mess.

I'm thinking maybe a tackle box or a nuts and bolts type organizer with the small clear plastic pull out drawers most folks have in their garages.

And kind of along the same line, was thinking of using a small tackle box with the same type of stuff but on a smaller scale to take to gigs.

Thanks,

Wes

I have a small suitcase that I use a lot. I have the different types of items in ziploc bags. Have outgrown the case now though and have it and the excess all in one truck including my detailing supplies and so forth.

I have a small parts organizer that I got at Home Depot that's about the size of a large briefcase. It has individual bins inside that can be adjusted or reconfigured to suit your needs, and it has two different sizes of bins. It's branded Milwaukee, but there are others by Dewalt, Husky, etc. that are smaller or larger. The one I have has a lid that latches down, and "seals" all the bins individually.
