Hello. A few days ago I meet a musician and, while talking about drums, he told me there was a man in town who had a lot of old musical gear. He mentioned a strange orange acrylic bass drum, which brand name was similiar but not Ludwig, with irregular surface...
I was almost sure I knew that guy he was talking about. A few days later I got his telephone number and we arranged a meeting.
Believe ir or not, he got the bass drum on a junkyard and a couple of minutes before the rest of the kit was... carried to be DESTROYED (*cries inside*). Only the bass drum was rescued.
I end up buying the BD and had a good time listening to his stories, when he was on road as a band manager.
So... here is my last acquisition.
The shell has no cracks and it is in very good shape, only some scuffs inside maybe due too storage. The front hoop and tension rods are missing, batter tension rod missing too, and wingnuts as well.
This shell is thicker/heavier than the vistalites and its surface looks like ice, with irregular texture.
I wish I had the whole kit...
