Well, here goes. I really don't want to let these go, but the little woman says make room.

For sale: 69-74 Astro 22-12-16 and original chrome snare in very good condition. This snare is possibly brass. I cannot confirm as the interior has a section of the chrome plate missing for some unknow reason and it appears to be brass or copper. And yes I know, it would be from the plating process if it is copper. The shells are mahogany cores with maple interiors on the bass and floor tom, mahog throughout on tom. Original chrome hoops are included with sale. I have made my own glitter laid 12 ply maple replacements.

There is virtually no pitting or rust. I will not say for 100% there is none, because sure as I do...someone will find some and then I become a liar...I did NOT do a deep clean on the hoops so I am not positive of them because they were very clean when I bought the kit.

Now, for the minors...

1) Snare is in very good condition. Has two "extra" holes of unknown origin. Not sure if they are supposed to be there or if someone was drilling for gold.

2) The original tom mount plate is MIA, however I am awaiting a replacement from Mikey....The tom bracket is there, not the bass mount plate and of course that leads to 4 new holes...which I can cover and fill for an almost undetecable repair. The rteplacement is an ISS Pearl. Takes the stress off, but it is still non-original...

3) There is MINOR, almost undetectable rash on the bass and probably in other places, but they are not beat up.

4) As mentioned above, I have replaced the hoops with woodies, but the originals, in excellent condition, are included.

5) I am not certain as to the configuration of this kit. It does seem odd, but they match sonically, so if there is a 13 that went AWOL, I can say it would be a sonic challenge. In other words, they do not sound like there is any missing keys. Does that make sense?

6) No, the heads don't exactlyt match, but that is the way they sound great. This head selection is a good set up.

The Evans Regulator bass reso is not included, however I highly recommend using one. The head that will be included will be white and ported. I did not have it handy for the photo shoot, it is in a box in the attic and will have to wait until the attic is not 267* before I go up there.

Any questions, PM and we will talk via phone, that way you can grill me. My asking price is to include shipping in the lower 498, and I am not really keen on too much International shipping...maybe Canada...but nowhere else, please. Any and all tarriffs and other phart-gas taxes and fleas are on your dime.

$425.00 USD including shipping to the lower 48.

All Serious Offers Considered. Possible trades and partials as well. The sound on this video camera SUX! but here is a very short sound check.

Sorry about the sound guys and gals, but the camera just sux. I may re-do it Friday with a different camera with a little better capture.

My nephew suffers from that as well. He's a really good drummer, but he's a bit like "invisible boy" who can only turn invisible if no one looks at him including himself. LoLoLoLo

Hey jon, I just wanted to let you know that I got the bass drum attachment in the mail today. Just wanted to say that you are an absolute blessing, I was having a TERIBLE day and my brother walked in the room to tell me that I got a package addressed to "Nemo" or something and it made my day. I would have wrote you a thank you letter in a second but I couldn't read the return address! Or mine for that matter LOL

As far as this kit goes there is an INCREDIBLY poor family that I know of who would be very blessed to own a set of drums like this.. If you could PM me regarding the kit I will be able to give you further details, maybe we could work something out? They look gorgeous btw!

-Nick

Again, thank you!

Not even so much as an offer.......? Come on, someone has to know someone that wants these...I am open to offers, just no lowballing, that's all I ask. This is a deal. A beginner kit of less than reasonable equivalence from your local music store is more than this, and nowhere near the quality. Any student would get through a good intermediate level with these. These are truly intermediate shells.
