OOR Rims

So, I have about 6 rims that are either too rusty to use, or are Out Of Round.

Wondering what to do with these??? Not enough weight for any value of recycling - other than the feel-goodness of doing it.

Including in these are 2 8-lug snare side bottoms (14in) that are OOR. There are in beautiful condition cosmetically (shiny, rust/pitting free type).

Has anyone ever repaired any OOR rims for successful use?

Never been able to successfully salvage an OOR rim for use on a drum. Once it's too far gone, it's gone. Perhaps a repurposing for use in a horseshoes type game? A few rims and a couple of short lengths of rebar could make for hours of summer fun. I'm going to go check through my bin o' hoops! LoLoLoLo
