One for you gretsch guys

Here's a kit that i spotted while browsing my local Craig's and other neighboring towns and states for you Grestch guys in the vicinity..

I think it's worth a bit more, and i think the seller doesn't really know what he's got because he calls it a Gretsch Prematone, which i believe is actually just the name of the drum heads used by Grestch at the time.?? That looks to me like a 70's era Stop Sign badge Gretsch in pretty good condition, with a 70's acrolite and possible 70's Zildjians to boot !

What do you guys think ?

I'd say, with those leg brackets that they are circa 1980 Gretsch (either SSB or square badge). Great drums with Jasper made shells.

"Includes base drum pedal"

I would say that's a good indicator that he doesn't know what he has.

It would be worth a closer look for anyone in the area who is in the market for a Gretsch.

Haha point taken - they're *all* ten-lug bass drums! Mind you, those are all new kits....I thought in the past most Gretsch bass drums were 8-lug...

Square badge from the 80's. Pretty good stuff in that era. I had a 20,10,12,14 in Rosewood from that period and it was a really nice kit. So nice in fact that about 6 months after I bought it the seller begged me to sell it back to him. So I did. He had sold it because he was going into hand percussion. I guess he somehow forgot that you use your hands on the sticks so as to hit the drums. :) He was very relieved to get it back.
