Picked this up today for $100. Looks to be blue silk pearl from the catalogue although parts have gone a little darker. Its pre 1967 because thats when the FT legs came in with the single bend. The shells look to be birch?

I know its in pretty bad shape and has missing some parts but like everyone here has probably experienced at some stage, my addiction got the better of me. I also dont feel bad because I sold some crappy cymbals i got for free for $100 a few days ago :) Also in this part of the world, these arent very common.

I'm curious if and how you're gonna fix that rack tom's wrap.

I guess wait for a fitting piece of wrap to come a long. looks loke grey ripple. maybe you could buy it new.

Or if you want to make a players kit, rip a piece of wrap from the bottom of the bass drum (I hope I'm not saying somthing very indecent here....)

I what country are you? I know a dutch guy seling a beverley 13' having the same wrap. but not the same hole spacing.

A friend of mine got a kit like that,in green silk,I took them apart and the shells were top notch,in round and bearing edges were perfect,I think premier had the best edges of all the companies of that era, might want to check to see if they are pre international sizes,my friends were.

Haven't checked if they are pre international sizes but I'm guessing they aren't because they have modern heads on them already. As for the wrap, there isn't enough overlap underneath to cut a piece out unless I just cut a piece anyway and have the wrapless hole on the bottom instead of the tom, if that's what you meant?

I am working on getting some replica wrap done, there was a dude on the forum who brought back a basket case luddy phsyco kit to life with replica wrap using a digital printing process, A good mate of mine in our town has got me started on this, he is a drum restorer and collector. It's early days, my first attempt is a tiger pearl wrap on a battleship lug kit, the bass drum is with a photographer atm to get a good digital image and then I will go from there, this process, if possible won't work with glitters or sparkles only a flat image. Not sure of the outcome but it will soak up some orphan drums to blend with others that have authentic wraps, without rewrapping or hunting down original wrapped drums.

@ Wado, yes that's what I meant. quite crude, but if it were my kit and I wanted to make a players kit out of it I wouldnt mind.
