olympic 1003..14x6.50 restoration fotos

Loading...

This a pretty rare snare . It's 1960's era 1003 14"x6.50". From my reading they are not seen to often. This drum is 100% original and if you are into restorations I have a web page showing the process...pretty cool...Very fun project as I was blown away by the condition of this drum. When I popped the top head off I even got a whiff of the proverbial "Premier Smell."

check it out....the sparkle wrap is very cool.

If you are into this drum, why are you going to sell it?..I can tell you its not worth what you think it should be worth..just sayin. Im hoping once you put "humpty" back together again, you will love it, and play it..good luck

you read my mind....poppin new heads on it and probably going to keep this snare....its just to damn cool and was a killer score for 15 bucks...i do more recording nowadays anyway and have read its a great recording drum...just gonna have to manufacturer a key...but hell I even have the stand with it..Plus on my occasional performances it will look beautiful...my kit is a maple Gretsch kit and I already checked it out with kit and it looks crazy cool...

but like I said i was blown away by every part on this drum..It was definitely played for a while and who knows history after that...got this drum under my skin now... at first i thought maybe it was worth a big buck and I realize it wont be...The Brits made a great snare here... Olympic, Premier, whatever the hell you want to call it...

thanks all,
