Hey guys,
I bought a drumset recently (you can find the post here if you're interested: http://vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=56844 ) and it came with a few cymbals, some of them I could identify without a problem, but I'm not quite sure about the following two. Photos of the stamps in the following links.
http://prnt.sc/c51o04 This one's on a 16" cymbal, which is pretty heavy. It felt more ride-able than crash-able to me. The stamp is on the upper facing side, pretty central in the cymbals, slightly towards the bell. I can make out the crescent + star + CONSTANTINOPLE written below. In between there's a line I can't read.
http://prnt.sc/c51qix This one's on a 14" cymbal, rather light, might have been used as a hi-hat top cymbal (sadly it has 2 cracks in it). It has the same stamp as the other cymbal, but it's placed more toward the outer part of the cymbal.
Please help me date those beauties! I couldn't find a similar stamp on rob scott's website... Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Buze
