Hi, new to the site. Ive restored this old snare and put it back the way I recieved it but have never seen the wires set up on the butt end like this one? Theres no holes in the shell so there was never any hardware originally. Is this really how it should go? I was considering putting $50 into modern hardware that would make it more playable...is that advised or leave it as is? Thanks
