old ludwig cymbal stand

Loading...

I have an old Ludwig cymbal stand that is very loose at its base. Is there any way of tightening the rivets where the base folds up. it is the kind that has the legs folding from the base and is flat once opened.

you guys have helped so much in the past so I am thanking you in advance and look forward to your advice.

sounds like a standard try putting punch in the open end of rivet to fatten up and see if you can mushroom put the loose end or drill out and replace with new rivets good luck

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I lay the bottom (head) of the rivet on a closed vice, then get a small hammer and pound on the other end (flanged part) a few times.........

not as hard as you can though!

I have done many a stand this way.......works fine..........
