Old K 20”

Can someone give me a value on this? The stamp puts it between ‘67 and ‘77, but I read there are variances in the “new stamp” that could help narrow it down. Also, the cymbal hole is smaller than any of my other cymbals, even smaller than my ‘70 A ride. I think it’s a 19.5” too because it’s a little smaller than my 20” Constantinople light ride but a little bigger than my 19” k dark thin crash. Is that a thing they did? A 19.5”? Anyways, it’s in pretty amazing condition and I’d just like to learn a little more about it. Thanks:)

It's a candidate for a later New stamp. Which means it could be later 1960's or 1970's. Is there any ink under the bell? If so I need to see it.

That's part of the ID process on with new stamps.

Newer new stamp. Value depends on weight and how it sounds.

Then figure its anywhere from late 1960's to about 1977. And that 19-1/2 is pretty typical for 20" K's. They can vary between that up to 19-5/8 approximately.

I have one of the very rare examples of one that exactly 20", and its a late era New Stamp just the same era as yours.

By the way I've decided to alter the New Stamp terminology slightly specifically as it pertains to the old vs. new delineation. Instead of older New Stamp and newer New stamp (which to me sounds a bit awkward),so I've opted to change that terminology slightly to Early New Stamp vs. Late New Stamp; which sounds a bit better at least to me. It's a small and fairly insignificant change and I don't know how long it'll be before it catches on if ever, but I sincerely hope it does. I know that once something becomes established as commonly used parlance it can be somewhat difficult to change, but I thought that with everybody's cooperation that this change might have hope of being affected. So I beg your kind indulgence in this matter. Please start spreading the word around in order for the cymbal world at large to be informed.

And thank you for your continued support. This has been an official cymbal geek public announcement....

Now go beat your bronze.

I would like Wayne Salzmann show the documented source for his upper end value of a 20" on a new stamp selling for $3,299.

Well I was definitely happy with the price I got it for and will probably keep it for life. This is my first vintage K, and unfortunately for my wallet it probably won't be my last. Thanks for the info everyone!
