I'd suggest that you have a look on e-Bay under the "Completed Items" section to see what the identical items have recently sold for. Asking prices are one thing, but the selling prices are all that really matter.

I'm sure that you should find a laundry list of P-83 strainers and snare butts that recently sold.

Good luck!

The other strainer part is part of a 3-point strainer. I would say that piece alone is anywhere from $40 - $60 +/- . A complete 3-point can go well over $125.

Here is an article in Slingerland 3-point strainer. You should be able to fine tune which year and and any fine detials.

Slingerland part of strainer looks like a 48-49 Radio King. The thumbscrew is thicker, and the earliest one with that thumbscrew is 48-49.

I could use it for a 1940-41 Radio King snare I just picked up out of the blue from a good friend. I'd just seek out the correct thumbscrew to change it up,...my friend didn't care for the old Slingerland strainers, so he actually put, (funny as it is in relation to this thread),... a P-83 strainer onto it! HA!

If you ebay it, let us/me,.. whomever,.. know.
