I was pokin' around on the computer and started watching Bling Faith Hyde park gig. During "Do what you like" and it's drum solo, the camera shot down to the double bass foot work. The head on the left side bass had NOT been changed in years. The imprint of the beater went in about 1/2" .My mind went back to an interview with the drummer from that famous Boston band with the crazy lead singer, where he said"I have the heads on my drums changed after EVERY SHOW".And here is G.B using a bass drum probably from his Graham Bond days, still sounding pretty good.........anybody got any Kingston drums for sale?????

I have my original BD batter and reso on my BD from 77. It has scuff marks from the Speed King knuckle when I put it too close but it`s my snare that I gotta change after a few long plays. After one song, my snare batter head is junk, the cigarette trick don`t take out the divot that`s about an inch or more deep and palm sized.

I`ll bet G.B. has a hard batter on the pedal. I used a golf ball screwed onto the shaft of my friends BD pedal and it destroyed the head in no time.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
