Is it part of a version of this?

This was in a traps case that came with my '56 Windsor RK outfit.

The cat said it's for placing on a stool or chair that doesn't rotate so you can still get that drummer's throne effect.

No other pieces to it? Is the I.D. similar to a cymbal/tom stands O.D.? Looks like something Robert Goddard would've played with.

Man, I just don't know. The spread on the legs is so small, that I can't imagine it would be steady enough for a drum or cymbal. I did see the one listed on ebay, but it doesn't sound like that dude has any idea, either. Good luck (I like this game). Too bad there aren't any markings.
