The Pearl S-800W snare stand is finished! Came out clean and shiny, but there are still wear spots and some minor rust. Regardless, it's now an excellent stand to offer up for sale!

Yes, definitely built well! And, it does go down fairly low. I always liked Pearl's 800 series hardware.
It really takes time and effort to get neglected hardware looking good again. The moral of the story? Don't neglect your hardware! I know there are always unforeseen issues that come up that keep us from cleaning hardware, as in the case of the Catherine's brother unfortunate health issues.
