Ok - please teach me here - Tama Bell Brass

Stumbled upon this offering today. Seems outlandish and like the seller is out of his mind. Yes, I read his description.

Seller is likely a member here - not trying to offend - just seeking to understand.

$1800 for a pair of hoops......or is he expecting that for the whole snare?

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

the drum is rare as hens teeth so it mite be right for rims, a snare sold a while back for over 6k others will chime in to be sure

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Yeah, seems pretty extreme. And this coming from the guy who got a nasty note from a potential buyer because ebay's shipping calculator estimated $80 to ship a drum Priority to Florida.

A little high, but complete drums fron the vintage do command very high prices, and it's not unusual to see over 5K up to 7 K for different models/variations.
