for that price, I'd rather buy 2 vintage ludwig kits... You might also might want to include actual sizes and better pics...

It is supposed to be a great sounding kit,and i agree for the asking price,you should have loads of pics avaialble,and good ones at that..good luck.

Well here's the deal, I just moved to Maryland so my kit is still at my other house in PA so I haven't had the chance to drive over and take pics and so on and so forth, but don't worry I'll get some nice pics together soon.

As far as price, this drum set new was $5000 with hardware. I bought it new, and babied it so its in really good condition. Also if you notice, i listed it for $3000 or best offer so there's no need to be rude. If your not interested, that's cool, but please keep the forum open to those who are interested. Everyone has a personal preference.

All in all, this drum kit is one of the best sounding drum kits in existance. Read any forum or website and they all say the same thing, and they don't make them anymore so they are considered collectable. Although 2 classic Ludwigs are nice to look at, the sound isn't that great. Although a model T is a cool car, it's a terible vehicle. So if you wanna just stare at your drums and show them off, than buy two Ludwigs, but if you're a serious musician with an appreciation for quality and design, than test drive a Peavey Radial Pro.

Dude, i'm not bashing Ludwigs. My first kit was a Ludwig, but there's a reason why todays pros don't play Ludwigs. Back than Ludwig was THE KIT. Hell, Buddy Rich even played a Ludwig. But times change, and makers like Tama, DW, Pearl, Peavey, they kept innovating, where Ludwig kept their design the same. Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying.

First, that's a very cool kit. Those are excellent drums. Very resonant. The resell of these kits run all over the place. I checked throughout the past two years (cause I was shopping for a kit). They ran from right at a grand on up to four grand. The higher priced kits went unsold. The average seemed to lay around 1800. Some of the factors that brought it above that price were badge and finish. Most were five pc kits with the snare. If you can nab one with a solid shell vice the stave, then all the better.

Please don't be insulted, but I believe your price is a bit off to what the market would bear. I do wish you happy selling and hope things go your way. If you should hit a wall, consider the price variable and perhaps ruminate on it a smidge.

For the record, I'm very familiar with these and am aware of the different lines. Some would confuse the 500 and 700 with the grand line. I didn't.
