Odd Sized WFL tom ?

Loading...

Hi everyone...my first post here, although I've been a lurker for some time.

This seems a really rare size for a FT. Do you think it's original...is it a good price ? I have never heard of a Ludwig in this size ? Maybe was an orchestral tom or something ? he's asking $100...what do you think ???

Seller says : "This drum appears to have been part of a "cocktail" drum kit. It is an unusual size, 13" by 15" deep and has extra-tall legs so that it could be played while standing, but it makes a great floor tom. The drum was recovered at some point, but it sounds great and is in excellent condition otherwise. There are no extra holes drilled, the wood is in good shape. I'm not an expert but I was told this drum probably dates from the late 50s."

Thanks....The Band

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Reminds me of the 16x14 Rogers which atomic-o landed and was discussing in some of his other threads...

It's a rewrap...but if it really is a vintage Luddy shell and all the hardware is Luddy and there is no sign of extra holes or filled holes....

and it's being sold by a private seller and not via eFlay, etc....

You could offer $85 or 90....he might say "yes"...and then you have a very cool, unusual old WFL tom for a great price; to do with what you please....Guitar Dude Man
