A good friend responded to the topic that asked if any DFO people participate in this forum. My friend posted that he occasionally checks in here to see what's happening. When he does come to this forum, he said that it looks like a place where one person is advertising what he has for sale accounting for most of the newer posts. I want to correct my friend's observation. Some days, most of the new posts are from about three people hawking the drums that they have for sale. The forum would be much more enjoyable for me if the selling posts were not in the same place as the non-selling posts. I think that there's a big difference between posts that are basically: "Hey, lookie what I've got. Waddaya think about it"? and"Hey, lookie here at what I want to sell to you". Your thoughts on the matter?
Observation from my friend
Well, this site's traffic is way down from what it once was so it won't take much to throw of the ratio of informational posts to for sale posts. To be honest, I don't check the for sale section so I have never noticed.
You don't need to check the for sale section unless there's something specific that you're seeking. Otherwise, just click on the newer posts, and you'll see two or thee people selling stuff in the general posting sections.
Is DFO still around? Wow! I hadn't thought about that place for years.

Once they bounced me for no reasons given, I said "screw it and them". This place has been nice place to hang.
Member in both forums, and check each of them at least once a day.
I'm also a member of DFO and have been for quite some time. I'll admit that some of the questions and topics that are posted are just downright silly. But, hey, that's just me!!

It's bad enough being addicted to one forum and this one is, as leedybdp says, friendly. Plus we get some great info. All the BR inside endorsement history and Rogers price lists just to name a couple of the recent ones. Yes Sir
DFO staffers nailing Ludwig and praising DW got old, I signed out.
