Can anyone out there tell me what the meaning of a, (I guess ), cerial # after the complete Zildjian stamp means. Also, if the stamp is close to the edge, what is that saying? Thanks! theringoone

The 2 letters are the year.......not sure of the code though.......
someone on here will pipe up,I'm sure.....
they started this around 15-17 years ago.............

If you are familiar with how close to the edge the stamp is on other Zildjians of the same model and size and this one looks much closer than it should then this is saying "Danger Will Robinson: This cymbal may be cut down from a larger diameter one and that may affect its sonic properties" with the suitable Robot hand waving....
