Not vintage but hand hammered

OK, so I took a chance on a little known "name brand" but they are apparently cast and hammered by one of the nicer companies, so the story goes. Anyone that actually knows who made these? No conjecture please as I have been told a few things and each makes some sense, but nothing definitive as of yet. So, who actually made these? Mid-East all hand hammered, all supossedly made in Istanbul, Turkey.

Here it is~ 16 Crash light, I am going to say in the 1400g range? Maybe a little more or less?

Well if it says hand made Istanbul Turkey then maybe it was hand made in Istanbul turkey. The shape appears machine-made, but it may have some hand hammering. Hand made could simply indicate it was placed into a machine and stacked on the shelves for shipping by hand.

The mid-east brand are quality cymbals, but the Istanbul made line has been discontinued, so it is difficult to impossible to find some of the models they originally had. I ordered several of them when they came out and found the lighter models to be very nice, and the regular "rides" to be too heavy. The 20" "crash ride" was my favorite model, but they are sold out. They are generally brightish sounding cymbals for being made in Istanbul, not smoky dark jazzy sounds."
