Saw that also, no, you're right, it's not COB, and yes it's pretty darn silly.

I had already saved it in MY Watching, cause if anyone buys it, I have a couple more they can buy at that price too !!

That's insane! Sheesh!

Are you from Portland OR? Have you seen the Supraphonic that keeps getting posted on craigslist for $275? This guys keeps re-posting it at least once a day, and it's just ridiculous. Maybe if it were a 6.5" deep drum someone *might* inquire about it, but the price is just barely more than it's worth. I sold one recently, and couldn't get anyone to even respond to the ad until I listed it for $150, and I finally sold it for $140.

I was just in Bend, OR, and there's a vintage/collectible music gear store there. Pretty cool, right? I walked in, and saw a blue sparkle pre-serial 13/22 set with a COB supraphonic. I asked how much, and the store owner said $1800!!! Mind BlowiLaughing H Wait, it gets better...I asked "how much for just the snare?", and he said $1200! Falling Do:eek: So, then I said, "Okay, I'll take the bass drum and tom for $600", and the store owner looked at me like I'd just spilled a coffee on him and said, "No, those are $1200 as well, but if you buy it all together, I'll let it go for $1800." DOH

They also had a Slingerland Artist snare for $350, so go figure. Hope this guy likes collecting his drums more than selling them...

Give me a call next time you have a Supra in decent shape for sale for $150.... I'll take em at that price all day long, every day.

Sorry man, but you gave that one away at $140 in my opinion

Check Ebay... $240 is a pretty average price nowadays for a sixties or seventies Supra in decent shape.

Where's the Artist for $350 , it's worth a look . What Year??

Here's a really nice one for sale right now. link............

Granted, another recently sold for $299, but for a nice one, $350 is not out of the question.

Hey Caddy, yeah I'm in Portland - but that's not me trying to push that

Supra. I do however know the guy, sold him a different B/O badged

Supra back in the summer for a mere $150 and saw it later on CL for

over 200. I wasn't desperate or anything for the cash and just grabbed

a older Keystone Supra so decided to sell my 'newer' one. Kind of started

a rapport with this dude and sold him another item just a few

months ago.

Funny thing that you mentioned that CL Supra, it's driving me nuts so

I texted him the other night using my Google SMS # and offered to buy

it just so I could STOP seeing it listed on CL !! :lol

BTW - he hates getting texts, he's a bit older and says he has to pay for

each SMS he gets. hee hee

It was sad. I needed the money, and I had the Supraphonic listed for sooooo long. I think, like, 8 months or so. I could've sworn that they sold for more, but I was clueless at the time.

Next time, I'll let you know first. :D

"I will let the new owner do the polishing. (Don't wanna take away the vintage vibe)"

Yeah right. At that price, you'd think he'd invest in some brasso!!!
