I'm curious if these speed demons can actually play with feel and creativity as opposed to just playing as fast as possible. It's impressive to see how fast they can get that double bass going, but at the end of the day, it's not very musical.
I agree. It`s more something you break into during a solo. There are many bands that incorporate it into their music,...then you end up with all the songs sounding the same, fast, random drumming with too much cymbal playing.
Like both of the examples here.
I called it speed metal !
