Not Again Any Time Soon

In this case I can almost justify letting a drum get dirty. It took four hours to disassemble, clean, and reassemble this 71 Supersensitive. My first clean-up of a SuperSensitive, what a pain they are. I'm putting this one in a pillow case or something... I don't want to clean this one again any time soon.

She turned out nice though, I think.

Is it truly "super sensitive" ? This band I have been playing with is mostly kick, hat and snare and the snare has got to be very articulate. I am in the market for something orchestral.

Great job cleaning it up. Get yourself a snare bag. They are well worth the investment for more than just keeping things clean.

Best advice on today's answers! I cleaned up a 64 SS a couple years back. It's real purdy, but like yours, a total pain in the backside to clean. I think I've used it three or four times since. The rest of the time, it sleeps in it's bag. I yank 'em all out every three months to make sure all is well, then toss 'em back in their padded bags to keep 'em clean, safe and me happy.
