NOS Leedy snares

A guy here at work just shared an email from Moore Music announcing they just found a bunch of NOS Leedy snares.

I hope this isn't old news.

Nice drums, but not vintage.

Those are the newer Leedy drums. Made by Gretsch.

Their advertising is very misleading. It says NOS.

Their "internet drum manager" says they were made in 2003 which isn't NOS to me.

They look cool and they have Leedy lugs. For the price they had better be pretty awesome.

I don't think it's misleading at all, sorry to disagree with you but they are nos they are 12 years old. the badges easily tell you they aren't vintage as does the throwoff's. But I guess buyer beware ??

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

They've been available before as NOS from a different seller, maybe they bought the whole lot.

They are definitely NOS if made in 2003. They are also definitely not vintage if they were made in 2003.

I dunno about the vintage aspect but to me NOS is New Old Stock. If the item/part in question is out of production and new in the box/wrapper/package it's NOS. Or nitrous oxide :)

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

That music store has been plastering these ads all over the internet. They have no relation to anything vintage. Modern shells, import hardware, etc. Unasked, the store also posted them to my Leedy facebook page, which is obviously strictly vintage and not meant for modern retailers posting their drums for sale (The nerve!). They have since been removed. I never cared for these modern day "Leedy" snare drums but maybe some folks like them.

But as Vintage2000 says they are NOS. But not vintage, obviously.

Really you need to play them. They have had time to settle into their shape so should sound great if made well enough.

I get the sentiment though, what you really want is NOS from 1955!!
