NOS 70’s Slingerland 3-line Brass Snare Drum Shells

Loading...

Boys

About 8 or 10 years ago a real estate developer purchased an old long abandoned warehouse in Chicago. Inside he found a small hoard of NOS 70’s Slingerland 3-line brass snare drum shells and he put them all up for sale on eBay. I snagged four of them. I finished two of them and sold them a year later for a pretty penny. I am selling the last two shells from that warehouse hoard. One shell (6.5”x14”) has crimped snare beds and it is factory pre-drilled for Slingerland lugs. The other shell (5”x14”) is a NOS virgin - no holes. You can use any lugs and strainer/butt plate that you wish. You have complete freedom to customize the snare any way you like.

1- 6.5”x14” NOS early 70’s Slingerland 3-line brass snare drum shell.

$275.00 plus $20.00 shipping in lower 48

1- 5”x14” NOS early 70’s Slingerland 3-line brass snare drum shell.

$225.00 plus $20.00 shipping in lower 48

First come first served. These won’t last long. Don’t procrastinate. PM me.

Wow there used to be a lot more ‘builders’ on this site not so long ago. Ten years ago these shells would have been snapped up within 2 hours of the post going up. I’m just surprised at the lack of interest is all. The right buyers will come along I just didn’t think it would take so long to find a good home for these rare-birds. PM me if you’re interested.

Definitely cool find. The 6.5 is tempting (I have the same drum with very uneven lug spacing that is kind of annoying). Keeping it bumped.

The 6.5 is sold!

The 5”x14” is still available. Someone snap it up while the snapping is good. These shells make killer snare drums.
