Guys, I have a 20 inch ping I'd like to sell and I'd like to put a manufacture date or era in the description. Any takers? Too much info always welcomed. Dean

1984-1991 or 1992. That's when Zildjian used that style of Ink Stamp.

The "Hollow Ink" era lasted until 1983. I have the Louis Bellson DVD "The Musical Drummer" and that was recorded/released in 1984 (originally released on VHS, of course). Louie was using cymbals that had your style of ink stamps above. As an aside, this is a great video and, as far as I recall, one of the very first "Drum instruction" videos, before the DCI Music Videos for Dave Weckl, Steve Smith etc. became all the rage in the late 80's/Early 90's,

In 1992-1993 (unsure of which year), they started adding the word "Avedis" to the Zildjian wordmark on the top of the cymbal; the rest remained unchanged.

In 1994 they changed the model identifier font and added a cursive "A" next to the model identifier. They also began using serial numbers in 1994.
