Nikkan Drums??

Loading...

While perusing my local Craigslist I found an add for a " rare snare drum ", the drum listed is a 60's MIJ and the badge reads " Nikkan Drums - Tokyo Japan " I didn't see this name listed among the other MIJ names, and It's not on the list I've been compiling through the years. Only asking $60 so I'll likely buy it regardless. But is this name familiar to anyone else?

Nikkan were producing band instruments (mainly Brass) in Japan in the sixties. The Nikkan drums that I have seen were all pretty much Slingerland clones.. Nikkan were taken over by Yamaha (Nippon Gakki) around 1970.

Cheers
