Hmmm...I dunno. I dont think any set of Kents is worth 400$. For that $$$, if you look around enough, you can get a Slingy or Ludwig from the same era, and it will be much better made. Plus, Kent has that terrible problem with the hardware...the discoloration that cant be fixed. Brown dots appear on the hardware. just my opinion tho.

I agree with Retrosonic, that's like buying a crappy Huffy bicycle instead of a real Schwinn made in Chicago back in the day.Lame

Retrosonic and 27thlancer, Just to give you fellers some history who's shells do you think this kent company used lets see kent was from New York and what was the Name of that other company from New York????? and 27thlancer Crappy Huffy Bicycles you mean like this crappy Huffy Bicycle right here, which so happens to be one of the most collectible bicycles there is! Also a fellow by the Name of Greg LeMond rode Huffy branded bikes in the Tour De France.also another pic of a crappy Huffy Bicycle, It so happened to of won a few world championships, and a tour de france or two.

I was a Cat 2 USCF road pro and Norba pro Mtb racer and used to own a bicycle shop, thanks for your Insight!:Snow Flake:

Yeah but I already got Slingerland, Ludwig and Rogers drums... that orange sparkle kind of talks to me. ;)

And... the bike I had when I was a kid.. a Huffy Rail in green metal flake, 3 ft chrome sissy bar and two inch red pin stripe slick on the back.

It's all good. I don't have a spot that would do them justice. :)

Dear Vintagemore, You and I have more in common than you think. I work for the largest manufacturer of bicycles in the world. I race and ride road and mountain too, although not as much anymore.Didn't get past Cat 3. I'm not fast ,I'm better on the drums.

That Huffy you're showing there was not made by Huffy and I believe you know that :D. I'm pretty sure it was a Serotta from Saratoga NY cleverly disguised as a premium bike. Ha Ha!!!Eye Ball

Ha Ha!!!Eye Ball[/quote]Actually it was a raleigh,Ben serotta was a few years later, and also as you know Schwinn has gone the way of Slingerland! both are shadows of their former selves, So you work for Giant or Meridian??I would say I'm equal on bikes and drums actually now I'm only on the drums Now. I had a team mate get killed in a road race we were in, he was run over by a dump truck so I've hung up my Sidi's for good!;)And that is Ironic really that your a bike rep.Cool Beans!!Cool1Clapping Happy2[
