[COLOR="Red"]Completely agree and hear you[/COLOR] FayRay. The quality of the upper end 80s/90s Pearl drums is wonderful. One of my main performing snare drums right now is an 80s Pearl MapleFiberglass 6.5x14" - it`s one of the best drums I have ever played. Those pipes, in conjunction with the dreaded "cannon" toms- put those two togther and %$& I freaking hate that. "I just say no" to cannon toms of any maker. I like my rack toms positioned as flat as the great plains. The 1980 Pearl catalog has those wild roto-tom/ wood tom combination hybrid drumsets- I am looking for one of those actuallySumo Dude

Hey,Osakabop,I think i know were i can get one,It not in the load of drums i just got.A few months ago a guy emailed me about one of these set if i recall right it was a 22"bass,toms were 10",12",13",14" mounted floor toms were 16" and 18" snare was a 14"..all the drum were the pearl roto-tom/wood comb.hybrid drums,like the set you postedPower sweep but with another floor tom and 2 mounted toms..The set he said had all stands and some cymbals was a chrome wrap...I think he wanted 800.00-1,000.00 for the set..i will see if i still have his email and check with him..I will keep you posted..Mikey

Thanks! That would be really cool- do you know the guy? Is he a drummer himself? I prefer to buy from drummers whenever possible- instead of "sellers".Cool1
