Ok, so some of you may recall that all my kid wanted for Christmas was a vintage Leedy Broadway. Well I found a really nice Parallel and bought it but there was one little problem, no wires. After staring at this thing for a while I came up with a solution, I took an old set of Super Sensitive wires apart and wala!! the single Ludwig tensioners fit the Leedy holes but the Ludwig I took apart was missing a couple of wires....this is where I need your help, does anyone happen to have an old set of Super Sensitive wires around that have the individual tensioners? Even if it's down to like 5 wires I would be ok as I think I only need 2 or 3 wires and that would give me a couple of spares.

This is going to be a pretty good challenge because even though the tensioners fit, Ludwig does 10 on one side and Leedy does 5 on each side and they are connected to each other with a brass sleeve. Ludwig uses a brass sleeve but for only one wire, I'm going to have to take the Ludwig brass sleeves and split them into two parts....I will take pics and document as I go along because I'm sure I'm not the first person to scratch their heads on this one.

The last pic is what I'm looking for.

Thanks,

Mike

Here is a test run of the jig that I made to solder the ends of the wires for my hand made Leedy strainer cartridge.
