Got my first Radio King Set in summer of 1968....it was a circa 1948 set..and it had a bunch of yellowed ,crumpled up newspapers inside....Can’t remember the dates on them..unfortunately......

I use cotton balls.against the batter head just shake them on to the head before setting it up. Works well V
