Newly completed Blaemire/Rogers project

Loading...

Just finished up the Blaemire/Rogers project yesterday and took some shots of it this morning. I put a couple at the end to show where this project started for those who may not have seen it. It came out even better than I thought possible. They sound just great. A lot of sound comes out of this little kit. Special thanks to "Mendozart" who came over yesterday and helped out on the bass shell.

I will have this kit at the Hollywood Vintage Show.

Nicely done! My brother had some Pearl or Yamaha 'glass drums back in the very early 80's, and I wanted to strangle him every time he started his afternoon practice. He kept them in the basement at our mom's townhouse in Alexandria, VA, and it was a small space. You can imagine the ringing in my ears today.....

As it would turn out in later years, I was his tech for many hundred shows and backyard parties.

For anyone going to the Hollywood show this weekend, come by and say hi. I will be helping Jerry (Drumjinx) out at his booth. You have to see the masterful work that Jerry has put into this kit.

Greg

p.s. Not only will he have this kit, but also his Ludwig blue oyster pearl kit that he restored.

That's a lovely kit! I really love the color and the way the hoops contrast with the main color.

The color reminds me of that old "Glow-In-The-Dark" stuff from when I was a kid.

Great job! Congrats!
