Newbie Now on VDF....

Hi all,

I've been playing gigs since I was 9 (suffice to say, I've haven't watched the ball drop on TV or watched a Midnight Mass from Vatican City on New Year's Eves since Nixon was in the White House). I LOVE vintage Ludwig drums, and play my vintage sets out at most music jobs.

I have a Ludwig Super Classic set of Oyster Blue Pearl drums (truly a transitional set...with Keystone badges and fold-out spurs, but with the newer "bowling ball" finish and newer rack tom holder). I even have a jazz festival snare to match (a "recover", but was done perfectly with original Ludwig bowling ball covering). All drums have close serial numbers, clear interiors, all stamped March 10, 1969. These drums rock!

I also have a Super Classic Pre-Serial Oyster Black Pearl kit (extra holes)....and an original 1970's Jellybean vistalite set in downbeat sizes (pieced together), with a very rare amber 20 inch bass drum.

I'm looking for Ludwig Standards in "Strata" finishes........
