New Speed King Pedal

Loading...

I've got a NEW Speed King pedal I bought a few months ago that I have used a couple of times in my home, but have not gigged out with. I love it to death, but.....well you know the deal, times are tough, I have too many other pedals as it is, and could use the cash more than the pedal. I paid $165.00 a few months ago at my local Ludwig dealer. Looking to get $125.00 for it plus shipping. Pics available if you like, but as I stated this pedal is virtually new. You won't be disappointed. And YES the action is exactly the same as the old ones from the 60's and 70's, just not all worn out like most of those.

PM me if interested.......

How is that pedal?

I have seen them, heard about them but never played with one.

How does it compare to say a DW pedal?

I do believe Starr, Bonham and McBrain all played with that pedal throughout their entire careers.

DUDE! One pedal for three different drummers??? How did that work? That must have been a seriously worn out pedal.

You have to try one to make a determination. There is only one adjustment.....spring tension, and you really don't have to change it from the factory setting. DWs have too many adjustments IMO, but are built like tanks. But then again so is the speed king. Not really one you can say is better or not. You just have to try it and make your own decisions about it.

Told ya so. Dang. Luddydude, is there anything about Ludwig that you are weak on? I've never in my life met one individual who knew more about a single drum company than you. Fascinating.
