howdy folks!

thought i'd share my new project with ya.

i took an old 12" tom shell, cut it in half, making sure that, the distance to the centre of the lug hole from the original bearing edge, is the same on the new edge, put a bearing edge on,(which was easier than i was expecting! a router, and a helping pair of hands :) )

i'm thinking of wrapping the one, and staining the other with a nice varnish.

a deep red mahogony?

i'll keep you up to date with the progress.

any thoughts/tips, would be great.

i know there's a lot of cleverer guys than this here little novice, on here.
