Here's my first shot at re-painting a kit using Glitter Blast, the rest to come later.

Glitter Blast is made by Krylon........RIGHT?
Looking good.
I got good results with the stuff, although it took a lot of the product to get the kind of depth I wanted. Since it's not cheap, I decided to go with other stuff in the future.
I clear coated it with Krylon's recommended top coat and it looked great.

I hear ya, when I was looking for Novus polish, I had to go all the way to Markham! Sure I could have ordered it online, but I wanted it right away
Nice looking tom there
Yep it's tough up here - pretty much any time I've come up with a specialty project, I've run into sourcing roadblocks.
On the topic of DIY glitter finishes, whether applied to the drum and coated/buffed or applied to a clear plastic sheet and glued to the shell, I found this which I think would be a great product though I haven't tried it yet. They also have silver which mixed with the gold would be amazing looking no doubt....eh?
