I posted this kit over in the main forum because when I got it it had a Kent bass drum head and so I thought that's what it was. Drummerjohn333 properly id'd it as a kit made by Pearl and then based on that center-mount cymbal and lugs I think I have pinned it down as a Stewart.

I put coated ambassadors over clear ambassadors on the toms and they sound great. A big rumbly low end and nice decay. I have a PS3 for the kick due in here Monday and can't wait.

The mahogany finish looks pretty good but I'm 99% sure it's a refinish.

The hi-hat cymbals are Paiste on a Ludwig standard stand. They and a 16" Paiste crash of the same vintage came with the kit, which sat on craigslist for a couple of months because it was so covered in the dust of ages.

The snare is a mystery MIJ that I got at a guitar show but the lugs match and it sounds really good. I will probably replace it with a mahogany ludwig pioneer.
