Hello to the vintage drum community. I have been searching the web to find information on replacing the original snares on my Dyna-Sonic snare drum. I found lots of ads for so-called exact replica sets and articles on how to fabricate replicas. If anyone has information on the best replacement for my tired old snares (assuming NOS is not available) I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks and hoping to share lots of information with the group.

Welcome to the forum! You can do a search (link at the top) for Dynasonic and see what comes up. Many people go with the Puresound wires, but you have other options and they have been discussed at some point. TommyP might also chime in with specifics.

Thanks Dave. I have read some and am considering using the Puresound but wanted to hear some of the experiences that other Dyna-Sonic lovers have had. I will check out some of the local threads.
