Hi all!

After enjoying this forum for some time i´ve decided to register to be able to better take part of this great source of information. As i´m fairly new to drumming and live in Sweden i guess i will have to ask you all to be patient with both stupid questions and strange english.

However, I have recently purchased a very lovely 1970 Slingerland, rapid strainer, COB snare on the E-bay. But when i looked closer into it, it has a crack trough the batter side bearing edge, see attached picture. My questions are therefore: Does anybody here know of some method of repairing this? Would it be possible to find a decent replacement shell somewhere, and, do you think the drum is worth anything at all in its current state?

Cheers

Tore
