Hello, I'm new here and am looking for some help. Bought a Majestic drum set off eBay and I'm looking for legs for the bass drum. Converted the swivel nuts and tension rods to modern sizes, and added a RIMS mount to the ride tom.

Anyone that can point me in the right direction for bass drum spurs would be appreciated.
Also, I saved all the original swivel nuts and tension rods, and might be looking to trade if that's acceptable here.

I have some but they likely aren't long enough. Standard roundstock at your local hardware store might be the ticket...cut it down, go to town...:)

Ralf on the Star site would like pics of that when finished and then he can add it to his photo gallery of Star made kits. Yours is made by Star 1968 or later before Star became Tama. I recommend you keep those because they are only becoming more rare and you will be very surprised how good they will sound once you have new heads on it and tuned up well.
Regarding the legs - yeah I would just go with something else until you can find the originals. The originals WILL turn up eventually so don't think they are impossible to find. Post a WANTED thread about your need for those and someone will eventually show up with some for you.

Took a closer look at your pics - COOL! I see what you are doing there on the rail - great idea!
Many appreciate you efforts to maintain the original state of that Vintage Star made kit!
I restored one of these and was able to mount a clip plate onto the suspension mount and kept the original rail consolette and mount.

I replaced all the swivel nuts with new Pearl ones, and I guess I'm going to bag up the original rods and nuts and keep them.
I put the rims mount on the tom so that it will mount on a stand. I NEVER drill anything on a drum kit. Learned that from a guy when I was 15, and got my grandfather's Slingerland Radio King set from the 1930s.
There is some slight bunching up of the wrap on the lugs on the batter side of the bass. My guess is it was too tight, due to a felt strip under the head, and over the years it just pushed it back. Hard to notice, though.
I've already been to your website, Ralf, prior to purchasing this kit, when I was researching. Great job! I will send pics when finished.
Just got new tension rods and claws for the bass drum off eBay. All I need to finish is a reso head (white) for the bass and the legs. Also got a Majestic vinyl logo off eBay for the front head.
I need to PM the person who responded about the legs.
I was thinking of selling it, but have decided to keep it and sell the other kit I'm refinishing. It's nothing special, just a 90s Mapex.

The first MIJ kit I restored was a 1969 Pearl Bollero. Came with a 10 lug snare! Still some work to do on it though. Remember as others pointed out here not to molest the drums in any way. The MIJ kits have some lovely vintage tones due to the LUAN.
