New Cocktail Drum Pedal with Bracket Now Available

Dear fellow cocktail drum nerds. I have been searching for quite some time for the mounting bracket for attaching a reversed-cam bass drum pedal to my cocktail drum's legs. Low and behold, lookee here at what I found and ordered on eBay about an hour ago. There were two sellers offering this item--both for $99 with free shipping. I ordered mine from Portsmouth Drum Shop.

I don't know if my old cocktail pedals will attach to the bracket if I want to do that. But, the Gibralter chain drive pedal that comes included with it for the $99 looks to be more than adequate for cocktail drum work.

I'm happy to be getting this item, and hope that some of the rest of you cocktail drum nerds will find this information helpful. You can click on the small image to make it larger.

Has anyone else checked out this item? Mine should be here in a couple of days. I'll write a review.

Very neat. I know many of us have talked about these over the years. That bracket system is always so hard to find. I think the price is right on track. Looking forward to see what you think of yours. Thanks for the heads up.

I figured that you'd be interested, Mike. I plan to use a beater with this pedal that will smack the bottom had of the drum with the full face of the beater. This cool thing is on a pivot. The first hit positions the beater to make full face contact with the drum head.

The Gibralter cocktail drum pedal with mounting bracket arrived yesterday. It took me several minutes to experiment with positioning the bracket before it became obvious to me as to how I should position it. The pedal works very well. The base of the bracket will allow any pedal to be used if that pedal can attach to a bass drum hoop.

Nice "GibraltAr" item for the price. I think the bracket should be flat (straight leg to leg) better than that U-shape. So by being flat allows the use with a low position regular floor tom. The pedal looks nice and definetly more giggeable than my old Ludwig reversible Speed Master. Thanks for the link.
