just got some new calf heads for my drums from Stern Tanning, & boy were they expensive !! but they sound great, really like the way they sound on my toms & bass, but they don't sound right on a snare (to me ) I guess I'm to addicted to that high end "crack"

I've always wanted to try real skins, but could never find them. I heard they were very expensive. I'd love to hear them through newer recordings instead of vintage recordings. Anyone have any I could listen to or know of a place that has some?
