I was given this for a future "amount" or buddy favor from a friend who makes guitars for Fender. I'm assuming the person who owned it makes it more valuable then it is. This drum belonged to Freddie Tavares. I saw this drum about 6 months ago at my friends house and saw the trans badge and thought it was collectible, the duco finish is pretty flawless. All original except for the snares which are Rogers.

Any help with model and value is appreciated, it's a 6-lugger and 6 x 14 with no white paint, dated 1960

Thanks Vin2k, don't know if it can be documented, but the guy I got it from ain't much of a B.S.er. Forgot to mention, all nickel hardware. I'm assuming this is a Pioneer.

hard to tell by the pics. could that be a 6.5 deep model? that raises the bar a bit as well. the condition of duco looks ot be nice as well. great drum!

How late in 1960 is your stamp? Transition badges like yours are generally considered to be 1958-59--just wondering how late in 1960 yours is. Nice snare is it a 6-1/2"?....marko

Feb. 10 1960 is the date of the stamp and yes it's a 6 1/2 x 14
