Hi Thanks for looking, these are my keeper 1960`s Premier 2000 / 2001 / 2010 Snares,
Snare 1 is a 2000 late 1960`s brass shell (it is a prototype OR special order). no serial number late 60`s badge, thick 60`s lip hoops, I have never seen another have you?? This weighs 2 times a normal 2000 snare drum and sounds ultra dry, far better than any other Premier 2000 I have owned a great drum, sold to me on E Bay UK for £120 as an 1980`s drum!!! No damper was ever fitted to the drum.
Snare 2 is a Premier 1966 2010 (14x4) very rare mint- COB shell drum, never seen another brass 2010 drum, Mr Tam Rankin says it is rumored to exist well here it is!!!!. Again dry and cuts real good.
Snare 3 is an early 1967 wood 2001 in Oyster wrap, I have seen a couple of latter 2001 wood shell examples in Oyster wrap but never another with the early badge, thick lip hoops and factory date stamp in gold on the bottom head (Jan 67) and yes this is a factory stamp.
What do you think, Regards John
