Does anyone know if Slingerland ever used Philippine Mahogany-AKA-Luan-looks like Basswood, in the mid 70's for the Inner Ply on their 3-Ply Artist or Copper over Wood 3-Ply Artist snare drums? I wonder if you would know anything about this Doc? Maybe Neil Peart's is just one of those odd 3-Ply Shells? Thanks. Phil Cormier
