Hey guys, I haven't a clue on Rogers drums....hope to be however! Please check out the link below and give me as much information as possible. The auction ends tomorrow in my hometown, and don't want to get burned! Have went and looked at them, and what they don't show you in the pictures is the trap case that is loaded with all the hardware, and the snare inside! Let me know what is a good ball park figure for this kit. Thanks!
Needing help with a Rogers Kit! Last viewed: 9 seconds ago
Guess I should include the link! duh
Well, the yellow colored drums are from the 1970's. This color is called Spanish Gold. One of my favorites. The old bass drum is from the 30's, or
maybe the 1940's. It's hard for me to tell. how many yellow drums are there?
These would make a nice set. The Spanish Gold color is fairly rare. They
are seen on E-bay once in awhile. Good Luck on these!
There is 4...... 12, 13,16 and 22. And there is a snare in the trap case along with the hardware.
What is a good price to purchase this kit??? Thanks!
Zero start five digit numbers, puts these at the beginning of the Big R era. 1975-6 These are early Big R drums, and they could be three ply shells. Not saying they are, but its possible. They should sound great.
What information do you have on the snare?

not much as I really was pressed on time, but it is chrome, 8 lug (looked to be a 5x14) had original heads, and a metal frame snares. Saw that it was a Rogers, and placed it back in the trap case, as I had cymbals to go through.
Sorry I wasn't that observant....:(
the memriloc Big R rogers are the least expensive on the market with the post 1979 X-P 8 shells going for a little more,I have seen a few 4 and 5 pc kits go for as little as 350.00 400.00 without stands in good condition,in the formica style wraps like the spanish gold or feux wood finishes. But with metal snare (powertone?) and stands that is a good buy even at 600.00 650.00,IMO anything under 500.00 is a great deal as long as the tom holder ft legs etc are present and accounted for and the kit is in good + condition.
Thanks for the info! I had a figure in my mind, and I guess I am close. They all seem to be in great condition, as they come with cases, I figured at least they were somewhat cared for. The hardware is all accounted for. Will post more pics tomorrow after I get them home. I will OWN THEM. (positive thinking never hurts) lol
Would be the first Rogers kit I ever owned in my life, and I have had over 30 kits. By the way....is anyone interested in owning a kit???? Let me know, this will be my 4th in the last 2 weeks....running out of room! :)
Didn't win the kit.....says it sold for $525 (which was my top dollar amount) I went in this morning and placed it. When I checked online, it said it sold for $525, so I headed in to pick them up.....when I arrived, they said it sold for $550?? The last time I checked, it still says sold for $525??? My guess is it was on consignment, and didn't reach the 5 grand these people thought it would bring. shucks
Too bad that one got away; sounds like it went down a little weird. Guess you'll just have t work on your other new kits. Ludwigs?....marko
