I'm going to look at a snare in MWP from the 70's that will match my kit, what do you think fair market value would be? I have not seen it how ever I'm told it comes with a hard case, doesn't that mean its a student snare? I assumed that snares with these cases were low end models? also seller says it has 6 lugs? I never heard of that, 14 x 5.5.......all feedback welcome on this.

Yes if it's got six lugs on it it's definitely a student model, but just because it comes with a case doesn't determine that it's a student model. Cob krupa models where also offered this way, and the eight lug student models are anything but an entry level drum! offer them $150.00 tops

I passed on this snare, definately a low end model, cheap shell, snare wire was like 1.5" band width, plus most were broke, wrap was faded, thanks for the feedback.
